Costa Rica is a very popular location for taking a TESOL course. The natural beauty of the country combined with the relative ease of finding jobs teaching English in Costa Rica and elsewhere in the region makes our Manuel Antonio a good choice for your course.

Costa Rica is well known for being a very stable and peaceful democratic country. The people are friendly, the climate is warm year round and prices are comparatively low, all of which has lead to Costa Rica becoming a very popular location for tourists and travelers. However, probably the main attraction which draws people from far and wide to Costa Rica is its incredible natural beauty with tropical rain forests, volcanoes and glorious beaches. Costs Rica is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The small town of Manuel Antonio is located magnificently on Costa Rica's pacific coast where you can see lush and exotic rainforest running down from the mountains to the lovely palm lined beaches. Manuel Antonio is an absolute delight for nature lovers. It is located next to one of the country’s most beautiful national parks. The national park is home to a diverse range of plant and animal life and you can expect to see tropical birds, various species of monkey, sloths and wild orchids amongst others. Manuel Antonio is also famed for it’s stunning Pacific Coast beaches.

Manuel Antonio's nearby sister city Quepos is an attractive town that offers a chance to experience traditional Costa Rican life and culture. Quepos is situated just a short journey form our TESOL course campus and despite its small size, it offers a wide selection of local and international restaurants, bars and shops.

All of this can be experiences while you are taking your TESOL course. Although the course is intensive, we have structures the timetable to allow you to have plenty of free time to explore this magnificent region.

About The TESOL Training School

Our training center in Costa Rica is located amidst the stunning natural beauty of Manuel Antonio. The school itself is well situated in close proximity to a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and other general facilities. The school has a very welcoming staff and all the teaching resources and materials that you will require during your course. The school offers internet access, computers for lesson planning, a photocopying service and a teaching resource library.

TESOL Course - Accommodation

We have a number of accommodation options available for students taking our TESOL course in Costa Rica, including homestay, private apartments, and hostels. The TESOL training centre in Costa Rica can arrange homestays in Quepos, which include a private bedroom in a Costa Rican family's home, breakfast and dinner, and laundry service. This provides an opportunity to practice your Spanish, and an authentic experience of the Costa Rican culture. Please note that homestay accommodation should be secured at least one month prior to the course start date.

Alternatively, we have a list of recommended accommodations at local hotels, hostels and guesthouses. Once your place has been confirmed on the TESOL course, we will send you an accommodation preference form to help you choose your accommodation.

We are also happy to provide a home stay option where you would stay with a Costa Rican family. This option is especially good for those people that wish to improve their Spanish and/or experience typical Costa Rican life first hand. Breakfast, dinner and laundry service is provided with this option. All the families we use for the home stay program have been carefully pre-screened.
