I have learned a great deal of information while taking this course, both about the english language itself as well as how to teach it. As far as grammar and the english language go, I think the most important things that I have learned are the different tenses and their various uses. Though all the different points of grammar (conditionals, modal verbs, phrasal verbs, etc.) are definitely important, I think that knowing the different tenses (structure, uses, etc.) will be the most vital and important piece of grammatical knowledge that I have gained. This will automatically be put into use (along with knowledge of the other grammar points) because understanding these things myself is absolutely necessary to be able to teach them and explain them to others. As for the teaching (how-to-teach) aspect of the course, I think that the most important thing I have learned is about the various teaching theories and methodologies, and especially the idea of having different Engage, Study, and Activate phases in a class. Beginning with something fun to get the students ready to learn is something that probably would not be common sense to most teachers. However, I believe that doing this will probably make a huge difference in the effectiveness of the overall lesson. Continuing on, making
