This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit gives advice on what types of vocabulary to teach (appropriate for students and task, how frequently they might use it and teachability - especially for beginners). I learned the term \"language functions\" which have to do with inviting, suggesting, agreeing, as well as when it is appropriate to use different types of language: formal, informal, technical, etc.I was actually looking forward to this unit because building a lesson plan is completely new to me. I was able to learn about the layout and structure of the lesson plan, as well as how detailed it needs to be in the case of a different teacher coming in to take over the classroom. I find that the detailed layout of the lesson plan could really keep a teacher on track.
