Thanks to my previous job, much of this unit is intuitive. It reviewed fair and consistent techniques and guidelines to manage a diverse classroom and potential trouble students. As a difficult child myself such a long time ago, seeing the equation from the other side now makes me appreciate the kind and motivating teachers I've experienced in my life and further motivates me to emulate the positives they've shown me. For example, my first district manager in my old company knew I was shy about speaking in front of large groups, so he had me give a presentation to a group of people I was comfortable with on a subject I was specialized in, and congratulated me afterwards. After digesting this unit, I laugh at how proud I was of doing something that was calculated as being easy for me, but also appreciate him as a teacher so much more.
