This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

Unit 14 covers course books and lesson materials. The first part of the unit discusses authentic versus created course materials. Although I do understand the differences between the two types, there is bit of confusion surrounding Created Materials, since there is definitely a difference between commercially created materials and teaching materials created by the teacher specifically for a particular class. A large part of the unit gives examples of different course activities/games. Then the discussion turns to course books, supplemental material, pros and cons of course books, and how to choose and use them. In past teaching jobs I have not been in the position to choose a course text but this unit certainly has given me the information to make a better choice if I happen to find myself in this situation.
