This unit 'Teaching and learning' emphasises on the age groups of students a teacher may have to deal with, their parity in a business unit, the blend of different English Language levels, the number of learners a teacher can have in a class and the possible learning conditions, pointing out the conveniences and inconveniences a teacher might experience while dealing with the various groupings, not leaving out the remedies. The unit goes as far as reminding the teacher of the teaching methodologies that should be employed in teaching the students. The ESA method which is the recommended, encompasses all the important teaching methodologies and thus is noted. The unit further encourages research work and the ability of the teacher to be able to find out and derive for himself the material needed for his work based on the need of his clients as the case will always be with BE.
