This was an interesting review of parts of speech, as many of my students have struggled with parts of speech in the past. I have struggled with explaining parts of speech to a class of international students before, because many of their languages were drastically different from one another. As a result, it was a bit tricky for the students to find common ground with each other when it came to an activity that involved explaining the rules of speech. This unit helped me understand better ways to explain these examples to my ESL students by breaking down the form of speech, creating tables, and writing simple sentences on the board. I will definitely be taking some of these examples shown and using them in my own classroom.
