TESOL Diploma Course Content
The course is divided into 11 separate modules as outlined below:

The eleven modules each require about 21 hours of study. The final summative task should take about 20 hours to complete. Therefore, the total study time would be in the region of 370 hours.
TESOL Diploma Course Aims
Our online TESOL Diploma course aims to provide an appreciation of a whole range of teaching issues from learning theories to material design. By completing the course you should find that you have a clearer understanding of your role as an English language teacher.
Working through the course will not only improve your research and writing skills but also help develop a wide range of transferable skills from essay structure to question development.
Diploma Course Assessment
Your progress through the course is assessed on a continuous basis. After working through the materials for each module you will then complete a multiple choice test for that section of the course. Your answers for each module test will be marked automatically and your progress displayed on a bar chart. This testing procedure is repeated for each of the eleven modules that make up the course. The final stage is to submit the research thesis as outlined in the summative task.
Once you have successfully completed all of the module tests and the research thesis, you will receive your online TESOL Diploma certificate.
Choosing the tutored option for the diploma course means you will have access to the support and assistance of an experienced online tutor for the duration of your studies. You will be able to contact your tutor at any time with any questions or problems you may have, and they will respond with helpful advice as quickly as possible. Your tutor for the diploma course will be a highly qualified and experienced teacher trainer. They will have been a practicing English language teacher and have a minimum of ten years experience of classroom teaching and teacher training.
TESOL Diploma Course Pre-requisites
To enrol on this advanced level course you must:
- Have completed a TESOL or equivalent certificate course.
- Be or have been a practicing teacher.
- Be able to finish all the course content and projects within one year.

Why Choose a TEFL/TESOL Course with Teaching practice?
Taking one of our courses with an additional Practicum (CTPR) option offers a number of advantages to graduates. These include a greater range of skills covered by your training and in some situations the advantage of having teaching practice experience, which some employers prefer.
Participants will teach real English Language Learners (ELLs) over a range of topics. There are a couple of options to how the lessons are undertaken and reported upon. You can either:
Find a school or language center of your choice (either in-class or online) and teach your lessons there. The school will sign off that you have completed these lessons and your documents will be sent to ITTT for verification, or you find your own ELL student/s and teach the lessons independently at a location of your choice, either face to face or remotely (via Skype, Zoom, etc.). You will video one of these sessions (1 hour) and send it to ITTT with your other documentation for verification.
