This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 17 goes over equipment and other teaching aids. The teaching aids covered are blackboards, interactive whiteboards, overhead projectors, visual aids, worksheets, cassette recorders, cd player, videos/DVDs, video cameras, dictionaries, course books, resource books. Photocopiers, computers, and online resources. It’s fair to say that as a teacher, I will have plenty of resources to help me teach language in the classroom. Each resource has their positives and negatives. For example, the overhead projector is great for focusing student attention and can be prepared ahead of time. The negatives would be that some projectors can be complicated or troublesome to set up effectively (Page 4, Unit 17).
