This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

I learned about classroom management. This is the skill of organizing and managing the class. Eye contact, good use of gestures and the variation of the voice can be effective and useful. Grouping students include whole-class grouping, students working on their own and groupwork like pairwork. They have pros and cons. The classroom arrangement is important. There are orderly rows, circles and hoseshoes, seperate tables, etc. The balance between Teacher talking time and Student talking time dependes on the type of lesson/activity and on the level of the students. It's better to avoid unnecessary TTT. Establishing rapport between the teacher and students plays an important part.
