This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit taught about lesson plans and offered some samples of how to format and structure a lesson plan. As someone who enjoys having a visual plan about what I am going to do and with having little experience teaching, it was helpful to see the lesson plan sheets so that I can use them for my first few lessons as a helpful guide. The unit also taught about maintaining a balance between being flexible and having a clear path to follow during the lesson, which was important to know because I have had plenty classes that were inflexible in the lesson and couldn't keep my attention. This unit has reflected on future tenses which was the hardest in the English grammar. The unit went over 8 different tenses with each having their own individual use and meaning, The different tenses use was future simple which time later than now, and expresses facts or certainty. Future continuous an unfinished action or event that will be in progress at a time later than now. Future perfect a completed action in the future. Future perfect continuous used to project ourselves forward in time and to look back. The unit also covered Be going, present simple and present continuous.
