This unit focuses on teaching special groups. First we look at teaching beginners, the levels of beginners, some methods and techniques, possible problems, and motivation. Next we look at teaching individual language learners, suggestions on how to differ from a classroom dynamic, some suggestions of activities, how to handle homework and checking. We then look at teaching children, how that can change the teacher interactions, it gives advice on how to alter the activities and teaching style used, and how how to manage and discipline the class. Then we look at English for business purposes, how that differs and how we can cater to their needs, what materials to use etc. We also looked into the differences between the monolingual classroom and the multilingual classroom.
