Tefl Certificate Doesn't Say How Many Hours

Upon enrolling in a TEFL or TESOL certification program with ITTT, you have the liberty to select the acronym you wish to have displayed on your certificate, be it TEFL or TESOL. These terms are widely used interchangeably within the realm of English language teaching. However, if you have a specific location in mind for work, conducting a modest investigation into the prevailing usage of the two acronyms can be worthwhile. If job postings in your chosen destination predominantly seek TEFL-qualified teachers, opting for that acronym would align well, and vice versa if TESOL certificates are more commonly requested.Table of Contents TEFL or TESOL in Europe Common teaching destinations in Europe Other European countries to look out for Pros and cons of teaching English in Europe TEFL or...  [Read more]

At International TEFL and TESOL training (ITTT), we have over the course of many years introduced new standards of training and new material to the TEFL/TESOL industry. For example, many teachers say they are unable to attend a training centre to obtain Observed Teaching Practice (OTP). We have reacted to this problem by creating a new course that removes the travel aspect of obtaining OTP certification. The course comes with either 6-hours of OTP (30-hour certificate) or 12-hours of OTP (50-hour certificate), and covers three main areas in a logical sequence starting with lesson planning, lesson feedback and lesson evaluation. The second and third phases involve both the teaching practice itself and an interview style summary over Skype. Both courses may be used with a previous grammar...  [Read more]

The validity period of a TEFL certificate refers to the duration for which the certificate is considered current and relevant for employment purposes. Typically, most TEFL certificates are valid for a lifetime, meaning that once you have earned your certificate, it does not expire. Several factors can influence the validity of a TEFL certificate. One crucial factor is the accreditation of the institution that issued the certificate. Certificates from accredited institutions are...  [Read more]
