How the structure of a classroom can change how dominate the teacher is to the students. Also not having students answer questions in sequential order, rather mix up who answers next. This means that all students must continue to pay attention. This is something during the language lessons I attended that teachers didn't do and it meant that I and most others would count ahead to know which question we had to answer...  [Read more]

For instance, question 8 where 2 answers can be eliminated (1 and 3) since they are actually mentioned in the lesson itself while the two left over answers are not covered in the lesson and therefore require either luck since logic can't be applied to figure out the correct answer. Same for question 10, also subjective, where one has to decide without guidance using...  [Read more]

I feel that some of the questions have multiple answers that could be correct. I.E. The question in regards to the \"Patchwork lesson\". The only rule as I understand with patchwork is that the only rule as I understand with patchwork is that the sequence must begin with engage and end in activate. I have come across students that do not understand and generally do not want to be in the class and their aim is to persuade the rest of the children to flip off the teacher. It goes into examples of how each form is used to set up a sentence and how to conjugate the verbs correctly. I think that the most interesting part of the unit is how it goes into how to ask and answer questions using future tense. Classroom Management For Teaching English As A Foreign Language Giving Individual Attention - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL-TESOL Courses

Our next main issue is going to be that of giving students individual attention. Here many classroom management and leaving potential discipline problems can be avoided by applying some simple rules to giving your students attention. The first one is to think about the way in which you ask questions. Don't ask questions in a predictable order. If you just go around the class asking questions from one person to the next then the person at the end of the class will know that it's going to be some time before you actually get to them. So try to mix up the way in which you're asking questions. In terms of answers to questions don't allow individual students to dominate all of the answers. One of the things that we can do to help this particular issue is to use the students names as...  [Read more]

I thought the rules about conditionals were interesting and important, because I hadn't realized the differences in conditionals so clearly before now. I think this would be something some students would struggle with, especially if their native language has different rules for how to use conditional-type phrases. I also thought the rules for reported speech were important, such as changing words for relative times like \"tomorrow\" or...  [Read more]

In the first video the teacher introduced the lesson with a rather complicated phrase, instead of elucidating answers from the students in terms of examples. I realized how some simple and default mistakes in my behaviour as a teacher might have been left unnoticed by myself. Students will not ask questions because they feel they should know the answer and teachers will not get a response to their questions because they do not want to be wrong.
