Also known as the horseshoe arrangement.This relates to how the desks can be arranged in the classroom. The teacher’s position is at the open end of the U. The benefits of this arrangement are that students can see each other better than they can in traditional rows. It also puts the teacher at the same approximate distance from all the students. It is a very efficient way of arranging the students for pairwork also.
