Can I stay in a shared apartment during my in-class TESOL course?

A shared apartment is one of the most popular options at many of our locations. If you choose this type of accommodation you will have a private bedroom in a comfortable apartment that is shared with other members of your training course. Common areas such as the living room, kitchen and bathroom are generally shared with your housemates. The sharing element and the fact you can cook your own meals at home makes this one of the most cost effective options in many of our locations. It is also popular as it provides a great environment for making new friends and for sharing study tips etc.

Can I stay in a hostel during my in-class TESOL course?

If you are keen to find a budget option, another common choice is hostel style accommodation that is available in many of our course locations. These often have a range of options ranging from a private room to dormitories of various sizes. Hostels generally provide communal kitchen facilities and common areas where you can relax alongside your fellow trainees and other travellers from all over the world. Any hostel we recommend is regularly inspected for cleanliness, safety and quality of service.

Can I choose a homestay option during my in-class TESOL course?

Only a small number of our course locations offer a homestay option, however, they are always popular when available. A homestay typically involves staying in a private room within the home of a local family who live close to the training center. This is a great option if you want to be immersed in the local culture and are keen to practice your local language skills. Most homestay accommodation also includes breakfast and an evening meal which are often spent in the company of the host family. In some cases you will have a private bathroom, although others will include shared facilities.

Once again, all our host family accommodation is thoroughly inspected and all the families are screened to ensure they can offer the high standards that we set out for our homestay programs. The vast majority will be highly experienced in hosting foreign guests and will be more than happy to introduce you to their culture and the local community.

Can I stay in a hotel or guesthouse during my in-class TESOL course?

Most of our in-class locations will have a range of hotels and guesthouses in the immediate area. In many cases we have developed a long standing relationship with local establishments, which has led many of them to offer very generous discounts to our trainees who choose to stay with them. Although it varies from one location to the next, we do our best to offer accommodation in this bracket to suit most budgets and preferences.

Can I make my own accommodation arrangements during my in-class TESOL course?

Yes, you are absolutely free to make your own accommodation arrangements during your in-class TESOL course at any of our locations. While we provide recommended options to suit a variety of preferences, choosing to stay with family, friends, or selecting an accommodation provider of your choice is entirely possible. When arranging your own accommodation, it is important to consider proximity to the training center. Since the course requires daily attendance, ideally, your accommodation should be within easy commuting distance. A long commute could become taxing over the four-week duration of the course.
