English Grammar -- Present Perfect -- Structure -- TESOL

http://www.teflonline.net This video is the first of two that looks at the structure of the Present Perfect tense. Positive: subject +auxiliary verb have/has + past participle I have played. / She has played. Negative: subject + auxiliary verb have/has + not + past participle I have not played. / She has not played. Question: auxiliary verb have/has + subject + past participle Have I played? / Has she played? This verb tense requires the use of the past participle. With regular verbs the past participle is the verb plus ed, for example work - worked. However there are many irregular verbs that do not follow this pattern and have to be learnt from memory. For example, eat- eaten, drink-drunk, teach-taught. Most good grammar books will provide you with lists of irregular verbs. The tense system is just one of the areas of grammar covered by ITTT's TESOL certification courses. ITTT's courses can be taken fully online, in-class or a combination of the two. Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit made me realise how much an equipment and teaching aid play a part in the teaching industry. I learnt what the various teaching aids are useful for, and how to use them in an efficient way in order to get the maximum benefit out of them. The web. address given in the material were very useful. The unit was about teaching equipment. Several teaching equipment were considered. Best practices governing the use of these equipment were discussed in detail. I have learnt the 'dos' and 'donts' of these equipment. I have also been exposed to several online dictionary websites. The unit was awesome.
