TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Jaakko

Jaakko from Finland took the 120-hour online TEFL course with tutor support with videos from ITTT. In this TEFL review video, Jaakko talks about his experience on the course and the things he learned. Jaakko found the course to be well structured and overall very good. Initially he felt that it focused too much on the basics but after completing the course and reflecting on his teaching he realized the importance of studying these basics to the way he approached teaching English. The great thing about ITTT’s online TEFL course is that it caters for both inexperienced and experienced teachers alike. Whether you are completely new to teaching or have already been teaching for some time, you will benefit from taking a course with ITTT.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I found this unit a little challenging as the many subtleties makes you think! In reference to the video for this unit, I found the information excellent but the delivery by the first trainer dry and unimaginative. Overall I am enjoying this course and enjoying the learning that goes with it!!!I had a hard time understanding the material in this unit. I am not really sure what I have taken away from these unit because the material seemed difficult compared to other units. I guess that I was able to refresh myself on the idea of phrasal verbs, and get a reintroduction to modal verbs. This unit broke down the verb tenses which can be very confusing. There are a lot of exceptions to ending rules and a lot of memorization is involved. The numerous example sentences helped to illustrate when each tense is used. The examples were sometimes more helpful than just reading the rule.
