This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have learned all the different types of future, past and present tenses and how to effectively introduce each and teach the usages and structure of sentences for each of them. I have learned what the abilities of each level student should be and how the students should be assessed and evaluated. I have learned the many different ways of teaching through engaging, activating and allowing students to study. I have learned new educational and fun games to play with the students in a class environment to make lessons more fun. I have learned that I should have targets for the students and push them within their ability(encourage), I have learned that providing students with feedback is important and asking students to evaluate their own work also, along with giving students homework to complete. I have learned what my roles are as a teacher and how I should work with a class (my position in a classroom in the different phases of a lesson). I have also learned that I should use my creativity and initiative and plan lessons well and prepare materials to use before lessons. I have learnt that I should make sure each individual child is developing and pay attention to the individual needs of students.
