The video materials provided by the unit are a great example of teacher?s attitude to the lesson. Though the teacher has thought of the theme of the lesson in the first video as well, he hardly thought on the way it is going to be introduced to the students. In the second one, on the contrary the teacher has thoroughly planned each step of the classed, came up with prompting materials, so that the students can easily guess the material being introduced.
If in the first video the teacher rushes to the study part and making students immediately get the grammatical material, in the second video students themselves came to understanding without being forced. This positive manner is much more encouraging.
Though the lesson in the second video could have been improved as well, all in all it is a good source of reference for ESL teachers.
