This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I never gave much thought to evaluating students and receiving their feedback on class progress and curriculum. After reading Unit 15: Evaluation and testing I find it to be an important element to include in classes. Keeping students interested and engaged is a top priority and this is a great way to understand their needs. As for testing students on what we have covered in class, I also feel this to be a necessary part of class. Students should expect to be tested, as this is the primary method to understand their knowledge. I was also surprised to learn how many standardized external exams there are for those who want to study or work where English is the primary language.
