Unit 6 covers the four past tenses of the English tense system (past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous). For each tense the form or grammatical structure is explained. The different usages of these tenses are defined and examples are given to facilitate understanding. After that, common mistakes or errors are briefly stated and some activate teaching ideas are suggested.
