Unit 10 uses two different videos to show how to create an effective lesson and how to avoid ineffective teaching. In video 1, the teacher started the lesson right away without doing any elicitation, I also felt the teacher?s attitude was quite hard when I was watching video 1, so the students barely have any engagement with the teacher. In video 2, the teacher had a good rapport and interaction with the students, so the students were very motivated to learn and had a high level of participation in the class activities. I felt the lesson was quite creative and interesting as the teacher was using different strategies such as drawing, pictures and mime to teach, so at the end, the students absorbed the most from the lesson. From both videos, I have enforced my knowledge of the responsibilities to be a good teacher, as well as the methods to deliver an effective lesson.
