Speaking and writing this is broken down into two accuracy and fluency. Accuracy can be worked by drilling prompting pre-planning Q&A. Accuracy is controlled by the teacher. Fluency can be done with free role play, discussions, and games. Getting students to speak can be difficult due to confidence and lack of interest. A teacher can involve pair work and group work to overcome this lack of motivation. The teach can also involve ESA for free creative speaking. Give them something to speak about with prepared materials. Arouse the students with and activity with a more process than product focus. Then give them positive feedback. Writing skills can be done with bubble cartoon figures where the student fills in the text. Writing should be focused on spelling, penmanship, punctuation, and creativity. Also using the ESA program to keep them motivated.
