Completing the future tense unit gave me the information to be able to pass on the knowledge to my students. As with the previous units on the tenses, a future tense sentence can be dissected and categorised to discover the true meaning. For example 'John will be coming home at 6' would mean at the time of 6 the subject would be involved in an action. With no indication of when the action would be completed it isnt perfect so it must be a 'future continuous'. If student knows the tense well then they could simply use this grammer as building blocks with some added vocabulary to create a sentence to match exactly what they woukd like to say.
