Unit 18 \"Grammar\" was about modal auxiliary verbs, phrasal verbs, and the passive voice. The basic rules for use of Modal Auxiliary Verb are: obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability, and advice. I also learned that there are two forms or \"two voices\" in the English language, active and passive. They are formed by the Auxiliary verb \"be\" + the past participle. The Passive voice is most commonly used when the performer of the action is either not known or not important, and when we don't want to say exactly who the actor in the sentence is. I also learned that there are three main types of clauses (a groups of words that have a subject and a verb). Independent clauses can stand alone and is a complete sentence, dependent clauses cannot stand alone and are not complete sentences, and relative clauses are dependent clauses that modify a noun and is either is introduced by a relative pronoun (defining relative clause) or not (non-defining clauses).
