This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused entirely on present tenses in the english language. I learned the four aspects of the tense; present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous, along with the three forms they take; affirmative, negative and question. The unit also provided examples of each usage, showed how to construct each form and what potential activities you could use to make teaching students easier. This unit was very difficult for me. This material was never taught to me when I was in school. This was also never on any of the curriculum maps from when I taught 1st, 3rd, 4th or 6th grade. I felt that the material didn?t fully cover the questions that were asked. The text gave me some great ideas towards activities to use in the classroom; however, answering the test questions has been very stressful and difficult.
