As I work in an international school, we have students from difficult cultural background. They have different learning intersets, learning styles. It is very dangerous that if all students are taught the same content in the same way . It is vital that we need to defferentiate to cater to students' learning interests. I am in faour of the point taht using pair work or group work to maximize students' involvement. It is very helpful for the students to gain confidence if they speak in a contralled way ,like teachers use the sentence frame to guide them in speaking.I can see the rationale behing role-play when it comes to get reluctant students involved in the class.I also believe that building good rapport between teachers and students conducive to creating the risk-free learning environment .
