Modal verbs are unchanging verbs which focus on expressing permission, possibility, obligation, even formality. Phrasal verbs are made up of multiple parts, some of which can be separated by direct object pronouns/nouns, while others cannot. For example, 'look out for' + something/someone, the object can't separate the phrasal verb. While 'take on' can be split. One can 'take (direct object) on' or 'take on (direct object)'.As with the previous lessons on grammar, this lesson reminds me of the importance of the future tense. Vince Lombardi always went back to the basics of football each year in training camp to focus on the fundamentals of the game. I like that I'm learning the fundamentals of grammar and teaching methods as well. I believe these lessons will be an excellent reference for me now in my teaching practice as well as in the future.
