in this unit I learned about conditionals, why/ when to use them.
For example, we use the zero conditional when we are talking about a fact or certainty, like : When you heat ice, It melts or : when the sun goes down, it gets dark.
For reported speech, I learned that when someone has just told me the information and I want to report it to someone else, shortly after , I can use the same tense, for example : Janet just told me over the phone that she is having a great time at the party, I can report it as : Janet says that she is having a great time at the party. This can be done as well when we are completely sure that what we were told is absolutely true, for example : David told me yesterday that the earth is round. Reported speech: David said that the earth is round.
