Modals, Phrasal (Verbs) and Passive Voice can become complicated especially because the new combination of verb and another word (usually preposition) takes on a totally different meaning. Sometimes, the meaning is not discernible from the combination of the two formerly separate words, with totally different meanings. However, this could make the learning of English both a challenging and interesting one.In this unit you were able to see someone actually teaching a class and what was effective and what wasn't. The one thing I felt that was most important was the attitude that the teacher had towards the students. In the first lesson the teacher's attitude was very poor and as a result the students did not participate. In the second lesson his attitude was very good and as a result the class was very engaged.
