Continuous forms feature “to be†plus the -ing form of the verb, perfect forms feature “to have†plus the past participle form of the verb while as perfect continuous forms feature “to have†plus the -ing form.
In regular past simple form we simply ad –ed or –d to the verb while as in irregular verbs spellings get changed. It is used at a definite time in the past.
