The videos that accompanied Unit 10 very effectively demonstrated the importance of the attitude and behaviors of the teacher. One of the very first things I noticed in Video 1 was the teacher repeating how easy the content was. I have experienced this myself in a Spanish class, and it was very discouraging. I would never say that to a class of students. The videos also helped to demonstrate the effective use of miming and gestures. While this was discussed in previous lessons, I didn't have a clear representation in my mind of how to execute clear gestures to help rather than further confuse students. In Video 2 the teacher used universally easy to understand gestures, such as pointing to his head for \"think\" to emphasize the instructions.
