The unit on teaching pronunciation and phonology consisted of many important factors in teaching English such as intonation and its teaching techniques, stress, phonemic symbols, articulation and the teaching techniques for pronunciation of individual sounds. It was interesting to notice in the unit that pronunciation is usually the most neglected aspect of English teaching because from my personal experience of learning English as second language as a teenager my school teacher put probably the biggest importance on the pronunciation part. I guess it depends on the education system of each school, but one thing for sure is that pronunciation is definitely part of learning/teaching English that should not be neglected.
