Study books can be a great tool for the teacher to use, especially in case the teacher choses it bearing in mind the level, interests, needs of the students. Unfortunately, the teacher doesn't in many cases chose the book. This is true for me as I'm now teaching in Vietnam in a public school where the books were chosen and arent't that good sometimes. Another characteristic of teaching model here is that ALL the exercises from the books need to be completed, as parent's pay for them and wants to see \"results\". As a consequence, I have sometimes be forced to spoon feed answers because there's not that much time to do otherwise. In this case, the book becomes too present in lessons instead of being a complementing tool.
