Indeed a short unit, presenting the receptive skills of reading and listening, how to teach, develop and use the skills in the classroom. The ESA examples and tasks offering revision of these components. As a teenager, I remember doing an additional and external course in reading, writing and comprehension. The two courses contents were similar. The combined video and different order was strange.In this unit, I learned that the two main receptive skills are reading and listening. Neither of the two is more important than the other, which means they have to be taught simultaneously. As I go along through each unit, I am growing more confident with the use of the ESA approach to teaching ESL. My goal, by the end of the course, is to be able to effectively use all types of tge ESA approach.
