This unit describes the different approaches an English teacher needs to adopt for teaching different groups of English language learners such as beginners, young learners, business clients etc. It explains the differences in style and dynamics when teaching an individual student versus a group setting and when dealing with a monolingual versus a multilingual group. Special attention is paid to the business English teaching process, how to evaluate the student's level and abilities and how to best tailor the syllabus. Explored are the advantages and disadvantages a teacher has in these situations, as well as what to do and not to do in each setting. The whole unit was interesting and practically helpful for me.
