Unit 2 covers a wide variety of issues such as general theories about learning and development, and teaching methodologies for different age groups. It looks at native and foreign language acquisition and considers the importance of the learning environment for students. This unit also explores the productive and recetive skills that students are required to develop.
The wealth of organised, concise information in this unit was mostly new to me but I was able to understand and absorb the material easily. I also learnt how to identify the process of maturation in young learners and how to adapt my teaching methods to meet studentsâ€™ learning and developmental changes from infancy to full maturation.
