This unit highlighted that any given word in an English sentence forms a \"part of speech\" and can be classified into a category or class of word. I had certainly heard of the classes of words and used them throughout my life but never specifically understood the subtleties of prepositions, conjunctions and gerunds for example. I believe it could be very challenging to teach some of these nuances as they're mostly just inbuilt and I find myself having to think very carefully about specific ordering and what the rules are. As a student I would struggle with the plethora of exceptions to the rules so as a teacher, I believe it will be a challenge to teach this content without overwhelming the students.
