Teachers have to fulfill the students needs and not the other way around. Depending on the ESL learners characterisitics, we should prepare, predict, model and develop the class. If we know beforehand the kind of students we are going to teach English language to, we will be able to choose the best way to behave in order for the students to feel comfortable while learning. At the end, theories and any professional background may be useless if teachers don't take the time to identify who are they going to teach, how are they going to teach, where and when are they doing so and last but not least the why; if we are not clear about this, we may need to reinforce our knowledge and reconsider our methods.
