I think it was useful to know the term used to describe different usages of the if sentence and the conditional, such as zero/first/second... I'm not quite sure as to why they are called that, as that is not something we learn as native English speaker, though it could be useful to help students identify the different form of the sentence. I have also gotten a good review on the directed speech and relay of speech.English grammar is consisted of different parts of speech - each part has a role in structuring a complete sentence. I learned from this unit that because English grammar can be a bit daunting and complex for non-native English speakers, it is important that we are aware of the different aspects of English grammar and have an understanding of the different parts of speech in order to gain the confidence of students.
