In this Unit I learned the different skills in organising an managing a class. It is important to establish a good rapport and respect with students to inspire and motivate them to learn. The teachers uses eye contact, gestures and voice modulation to set the tone, discipline and control of the class. When setting up a group activity ensure that clear instructions are given to the students and that they participate actively in the class.As I mentioned previously I\"m currently studying French on Duolingo. It's been rather fun to consider which techniques they use in the course of progress and how they relate to my own level. They use of flashcards/pictures, gap fill, repetition drills (though skillfully concealed). There are no Elicitation or Activity phases though maybe that will come later as I progress. Rather dull now that I have been exposed to other possibilities.
