This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit, I learnt more about different forms of present tense there are in English. The chapter covered present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses. I learnt that there are actually rules that dictate which and when you use certain conjugations. For example, one thing that stuck out to me was that verbs ending on ‘o, x, z, x, ch and sh’ add ‘es’ to form the third person singular. This chapter outlines the general rules English learners need to know to navigate around basic conjugation of the language. This is especially useful for adult learners, who tend to gravitate towards rule-based learning more than young learners do.
