This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The unit looks at modal auxiliary verbs which are used before a verb to add meaning to the verb. The modal auxiliary verb can add degrees of certainty, give formal and informal request, can make obligations give ability, advice or possibility and prohibition.
The unit also goes over passive voice, when the person doing the action is not known or doesn't need to be known, versus that of active voice when the person or thing performing the action is known. The unit give an explanation of the different passive voice tenses.
Finally the unit looks at relative clauses, words containing a subject and verb, and phrasal verbs which are multi-word verbs. Because phrasal verbs can be a bit confusing its recommended that they be a part of vocabulary lessons and used in the general conversation of the classes for the students to get a natural feel of their use.
