In this unit. I learned the best and most comfortable ways to get students talking in the engage. It's best to get a topic that the students would be interested in. With children, popular cartoons would be a good topic. Accuracy is not to important during this phase as I don't want to intimidate the students. During the study phase however, Accuracy would be something to enforce. After getting some input about their countries popular cartoons, introducing new vocab on the topic would be a good thing to do. A good fill in the blank worksheet would follow along with some comic book type cartoons that the students could pair up and complete. They can work in pairs during this final study phase so that they can help and make sure their partner understands everything. They are more likely to correct themselves this way as they won't be as afraid to make mistakes and get corrected in front of their partner as they would the teacher and entire class. During the activate stage they can make their own comic strip that they would present to the class. Fluency would be the main goal during this phase and stopping the students with Accuracy corrections wouldn't be necessary.
