Speaking and writing are considered productive skills. Accuracy deals with correct language, where fluency is more of experimenting with the language. There are different speaking activities, some are accuracy based such as drilling, prompting. guided role-play. Then you have fluency based activities such as free role playing, discussions, communicatinon games. The Lesson goes on about encouraging interaction but that is done in any lesson. Writing is the most neglected skill, because this usually comes in the form of homework, and usually not a lot of time is spent on homework. I believe that writing is as important as anything else. Handwriting, spelling and punctuation is important because of the reader. If your writing something to communicate information, then you hope that the reader can understand what is is your trying to tell. Using games in the classroom can be very effective, because it involves everyone and everyone likes playing games.
