This unit talks about the system and structure of the past tense. The past tense is divided into four:the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect and the past perfect continues. The past tense is use to used to talk about actions in the past. The simple past tense is used to talk about past action when the time is given for example I called him yesterday. The present continuous tense is used to talk about interrupted past actions. The present perfect shows completed actions in the past while the past perfect continuous talks about actions in the past that had been going on continually.
