This unit covers conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are sentences containing 'if/when' which refer to past, present, and future possibilities using two clauses, such as \"If I had the money, I would buy a car.\" The different types are the zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional, which use different grammar structures and are used for expressing different types of possibilities. Reported speech refers to when someone is reporting what someone said earlier to someone else. For example, Ken saying, \"I feel great today\" turns into \"Ken said that he was feeling great today.\" The verb tense in the first quote changes when someone else is reporting what was said.
