This unit presented various aspects of planning a lesson, including examples of how to do it as well as the reasons why it is important. The information highlighted the benefits of having a record of what material the class has covered and how having a lesson plan will help keep the class (and teacher) on target. Lesson planning also helps to achieve goals in the students language learning. I learned how to construct a lesson plan and how I needed to be more detailed in the material that I cover and the activities that I plan. I appreciated learning that I should allot a specific amount of time to each activity to ensure proper time management and effective coverage of material and student comprehension.
