This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit went over teaching method focuses, the engage, study and activate technique, and how to perform corrections. I found the task-based learning method to be interesting because it has the students do an activity, like a worksheet, and then afterwords has the teacher address the answers the students gave, including corrections if needed. I liked the straightforward approach to the engage, study and activate method because it flows nicely and provides good pacing for a class of learners. It even reminded me of how my Spanish classes were structured in high school. I found the corrections section of this unit to be important because it was mentioned that giving praise is equally as important as fixing mistakes and errors so that the student is not over-pressured.
